1Th 4:15 For
this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and
remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
Paul is saying the word of the Lord, he said so . “ For this we say unto you by the word of the
Lord.” And he uses the word 'we' in
referring to who will be alive at the Lord's coming. The word, 'we' is defined as; the persons speaking or writing: sometimes
used by a person in referring to two or more persons including himself and
often the person or persons addressed, or by a monarch, author, editor, judge,
etc. in referring to himself. The apostles and all of the saints of the first
century were expecting the Lord to return in their life time! And I believe that
He did!
