Joh 14:1 Let
not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Joh 14:2 In my
Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have
told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go
and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also.
This is a real conversation that Jesus is having with His
Disciples, and He is giving them hope for the future. If He is telling them of
events that, after 2000 years, are still in the future that is no hope at all
to the Disciples, in fact it is down right mean to say these things to them if
it is for someone way out in the future!
