Rom 5:20 But the Law entered so that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound,
Rom 5:21 so that as sin has reigned to death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Take one good and long look at grace, and you will see that it is a great contrast, a contrast of light and dark. When you go to look at diamonds the jeweler will often set a black velvet covered pad on the counter right under a bright light, then carefully lay each diamond on the black velvet. The contrast of the black velvet will make the diamond sparkle all the more.
I know that is a far cry from our sinfulness, but up against our guilt and moral pollution, God’s grace in our life sparkles like a beautiful, clear, and flawless diamond
