Joh 1:12 But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even
to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13 Which were
born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but
of God.
People like to point to the 12th verse and say
that they received Him and know they are sons of God because of there choice. A
new born baby is not a son of mom and dad because that baby received mom and
dad. He or she is there child because they were born to them. The 13th
verse says that a child of God is a child by the will of God, and only by the
will of God not your choice, but His.
