6/4/13
2Co 6:10 as
sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having
nothing, yet possessing everything.
None of us who has lived a few decades—for me that means more
than 6 and a half—has embraced this mission without trembling. And none of us
has lived in this world for long without tears. The joy we pursue and the joy
we embrace in Jesus Christ is always—always in this world—interwoven with
sorrow. There is no unadulterated joy in this world for people who care about
others.
We always find ourselves rejoicing and possessing everything
even while sorrowful and poor.
Embrace the gospel, know that the sins are wiped away, know
that your only righteousness is seated at the right hand of God The Father, and
you cannot ascend into heaven and unseat Him.
