Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Rom 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, "The righteous shall live by faith."
“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed”
For in it? For in what? The subject here is the gospel! In the GOSPEL the righteousness of God is revealed! To reveal something you expose it, you show it. The righteousness of God is exposed! God is righteous in giving ungodly, sinful man salvation because of the gospel. Because He paid for it all by His self, that is the gospel. The good news is that God paid the price in full and you do not have any part in that payment. In fact it is a debt that is owed with a substance that you do not possess.
