Act 13:48 And
when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of
the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.
The gospel is outside of you and it is the work of God, it
is the act of the cross, and that happened a long time ago in a place a long
way away from here. And furthermore the appointment was made before the
foundations of the world and before you had a chance to do anything to earn it
or to mess it up.
