Son 2:12  The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.

I hope that you are having, and continue to have, a wonderful Spring and always know that the cross is the main thing of your life. And that your life here is like a flower that will soon wither away so use it wisely.

Psa 103:15  As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field;

Psa 103:16  for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more.

Psa 103:17  But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children,

Psa 103:18  to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.

In the New Testament there is a verse that says; If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.

If you just see this life as the only thing there is then you can get really depressed. But we know that our redeemer lives and that He has truly redeemed us for eternity!

Isa 40:6-8  A voice says, "Cry!" And I said, "What shall I cry?" All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the LORD blows on it; surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

As our seasons for the grass and crops go so goes the life that we live here on this earth. But the word of our God will stand forever.

Jon 4:7  But when dawn came up the next day, God appointed a worm that attacked the plant, so that it withered.

All kind of pest that will destroy your plants are a part of the curse brought on us by the fall.

Jas 1:9  Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation,

Jas 1:10  and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away.

Isn’t it interesting how many times the bible compares man with the plants of the ground. That what God does, He uses His own creation to show us eternal spiritual life. That’s why I like spring!

1Pe 1:24  for "All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,

1Pe 1:25  but the word of the Lord remains forever." And this word is the good news that was preached to you.

In time every year the spring flowers will fall, but the word of the Lord remains forever!!
