Isa 19:1 An oracle concerning Egypt. Behold, the LORD is riding on a swift cloud and comes to Egypt; and the idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence, and the heart of the Egyptians will melt within them.
Now there are a couple of ways that you could look at this verse; You could say that.
A. Every Egyptian saw God literally on clouds as He rides in judgment against their nation.
B. Or God’s judgment of Egypt described in figurative, apocalyptic language.
I think it is safe to say that no student of the Word believe that God was actually seen riding on a cloud by anyone during His judgment against Egypt.
It is curious to me that most people today will insist on a literal interpretation of this verse;
Mat 26:64 Jesus said to him, "You have said so. But I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven."
