Holy is our God! 8/16/14

Isa 6:5  And I said: "Woe is me! For I am lost;”

Holy is a hard thing to define, we think of holy as purity. We think of holy as separateness, above, transcendent. We want to put holy in a list of God’s attributes. Holy is more, it is above the limits of our mind. Sometimes it is gentle and peaceful as it comes across our heart. Sometimes it causes me to tremble…. tremble…. tremble.

 An old radio program started out with a lot of creaking doors and then the scary words in a deep dark voice, “INNER SANCTUM” the words inner sanctum are not so scary by themselves. But they mean “within the holy”

And nothing is more dreadful to us or more terrifying to the mind than to be brought into the holy.
