Mat 2:5 They
told him, "In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:
Mat 2:6 "'And
you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers
of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people
Israel.'"
“for so it is written by the prophet” Was it because the
prophet said it that Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea? Or did the prophet
say it because it was God’s plan for Jesus to be born in Bethlehem of Judea? It
was said because that is the way God’s plan was. I heard someone say, “History
is a rigged deal.”
