A verse for 5/10/12

Mat 6:5  "And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

I was told of a time when the pastor ask brother Richardson to pray over the offering, he bowed his head and began to pray, the pastor then spoke out and said “brother Richardson, I can’t hear you.” To that  brother Richardson said, “I’m not talking to you!” and finished his prayer.

Let’s not be praying for the benefit of those standing on the street corners.
