Mat 13:7 Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them.
Later in the same chapter Jesus tells His disciples that the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches are the thorns that grew up and choked out the seed. There are many cares of this world that get in our way, but they are not worth being choked out.
