Like a little leaven that is hid in the flour will spread
through the whole bowl of flour, so it is with the kingdom of heaven. When
Jesus said these words there were very few followers, Christianity was new and
the world had not heard of it. But since that time Christianity has spread
through the world like leaven in a bowl of flour, and the world is a much
better place than it was.
Mat 13:33 He
told them another parable. "The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a
woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened."
