A Roman soldier was forbidden to marry, but they say that Saint Valentine of Rome perform weddings for
soldiers anyway, and he also ministered to Christians, who were persecuted under the
Roman Empire.

1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should
be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not
know us is that it did not know him.
The father, the creator of the universe, the king of all
kings, loves us so that He has allowed us to be called children of God.
