2Co 1:8 For we
do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in
Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of
life itself.
2Co 1:9 Indeed, we
felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely
not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead.
There are times in this life that we feel we have lost all
strength and that we have been given a sentence of death, but as Paul
said, “But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who
raises the dead.” To raise the dead is an impossibility, so a
God who can do the impossible, is a God that can, and will, strengthen you!
