A verse for 4/24/14

4/24/14

Rom 12:9  Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
Rom 12:10  Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
Rom 12:11  Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.

As you meditate this morning let God show you how to serve Him with brotherly affection!

A verse for 4/23/14

4/23/14

Rom 12:3  For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
Rom 12:4  For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function,
Rom 12:5  so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

The more we think alike the more we can become one.

A verse for 4/22/14

4/22/14

Rom 12:1  I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Rom 12:2  Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind….

Renew your mind daily with a time of meditating on God and His word.

A verse for 4/21/14

4/21/14

Php 4:8  Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Just an idea to meditate on.

A verse for 4/20/14

4/20/14

    “Hallelujah!”

Mar 16:2  And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb.
Mar 16:3  And they were saying to one another, "Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?"
Mar 16:4  And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back--it was very large.
Mar 16:5  And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed.
Mar 16:6  And he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.

What more needs to be said?

A verse for 4/19/14

4/19/14

The only verse that could be an event on Saturday is Mark 16:1 if it is on Saturday it was after the sun went down, because the Sabbath was past at sundown.

Mar 16:1  When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him.

There is so much to meditate on in the word.
