A verse for 5-6-12

Col 3:17  And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

In our life we need to be giving thanks to God, and whatever we do we need to do it as if we were doing it for Him, because we ultimately are.

A verse for 5-5-12

2 Th 2:13  But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.

We ought always to give thanks to God for our brethren that has been chosen by God and pray for them daily.

A verse for 5-4-12

Act 16:25  About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them,

When was the last time you were praying and singing hymns to God, at midnight?

A verse for 5-3-12

Psa 34:…. I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

When this is the way you spend your days you will know peace that passes all understanding.

Heavenly Father conform us more and more to the image of your Son and lead us to a life of continual praise.

A verse for 5-2-12

1Th 5:17  pray without ceasing,

This is such a simple little statement, but oh such a hard thing to do. Our life is so demanding that we find all manner of things to occupy our mind and fill life so that we think that to pray without ceasing is impossible, but we need to keep our minds, even in the midst of other things, fixed on God. And listening to Him.

Mat 6:9  Pray then like this: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

Mat 6:10  Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Mat 6:11  Give us this day our daily bread,

Mat 6:12  and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Mat 6:13  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
