Psa 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.

The Law of the LORD, the precepts of the LORD, the commandment of the LORD, and the rules of the LORD, are His Word. And is more to be desired than anything, be it riches are fine food.

Now that is hitting close to home with many of us. I have treasured your Word more than FOOD! Really? More than food? You gotta be kidding, right?

No I am not kidding. We should treasure His Word very highly, even more than food.

As you fellowship with Jesus Christ in the Word you will find that your heart will burn within you as you go. Worship the LORD in the reading of His Word.

Isa 46:10 declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,'

Isa 46:11 calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.

I heard, “God said it, I believe it, and that settles it!” I say, “if God said it that settles it.”

God's counsel will stand. The Bible is God's word and it will stand.

Respect the Word! Love the Word! Read the Word!

Gods Word is like a consuming fire and like a smashing hammer! It has the power to do whatever God wants done! Just use the Word. You may never see the results, but just use the Word.

We saw at the beginning of this month that the word of God is living and active, and once again here we are reminded of that, and take notice that the word is referred to as a seed and it bring about your new birth.

It is that time of the year when a lot of people are planting seeds of various kind and they are expecting to get a harvest of whatever they planted. The seed that Jesus is talking about here is the Word of God that will bring forth eternal life to the hearers. Are you planting seeds of the right kind?

2Ti 4:3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,

The only way you can share, or preach, the Word is to know the word. The only to know the Word is to read the Word.

The more people hear words that suit their own passions, the more they turn away from the truth.

You don't have to polish, or refine the Word of God in any way. In fact you cannot do anything to make the Word more pure or precious than it is.

The Word of God is just that, The word of GOD! None of the bible was ever produced by the will of man, not one dot or tittle. It is all from God.

Psa 1:2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

Psa 1:3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

In order to NOT walk in the counsel of the wicked, Delight in the law of the LORD.

And if you don't want to stand in the way of sinners or sit in the scoffers seat, meditate day and night on the law of the LORD.

Psa 119:101 I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word.

Psa 119:102 I do not turn aside from your rules, for you have taught me.

Psa 119:103 How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Psa 119:104 Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.

The Word of God speaks for it's self! And makes you wiser than your enemies, and it will lead you away form the false way.

Take time to read the Word everyday!

2Ti 3:17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

ALL Scripture! I want us to know that ALL not just the parts I like. Not even just the parts that make me feel good about me, but all!

Shall we do it again?

Heb 4:12  For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Heb 4:13  And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

I think it is important for me to share with you some of the word of our God. I know that you are capable to read it on your own and I'm sure you do.

This is what I am thinking this evening. The word is powerful and it is alive, it will direct you better than your heart. Don't follow your heart unless your heart is following hard after the Word, let the Word be your guide.  Jer 17:9  The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? 

I am going to, with the help of God, start doing this again. You will be praying that it will be of help to you and to me.
