Parliament, and

HAPPY
EASTER!
Mat 28:1
Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week,
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.
Mat 28:2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for
an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone
and sat on it.
Mat 28:3 His appearance was like lightning, and his
clothing white as snow.
Mat 28:4 And for fear of him the guards trembled and
became like dead men.
Mat 28:5 But the angel said to the women, "Do not
be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.
Mat 28:6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said.
Come, see the place where he lay.
Mat 28:7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples that
he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee;
there you will see him. See, I have told you."
Mat 28:8 So they departed quickly from the tomb with
fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
Mat 28:9 And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" And they came up and took hold
of his feet and worshiped him.
I pray that you go to church today and give praise to the risen lord
and savior.

1Co 15:1
Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which
you received, in which you stand,
1Co 15:2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold
fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
1Co 15:3 For I delivered to you as of first importance
what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the
Scriptures,
1Co 15:4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the
third day in accordance with the Scriptures,
1Co 15:5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the
twelve.
1Co 15:6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred
brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen
asleep.
I would remind you that Christ died for
our sins!

2Co 5:14
For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that
one has died for all, therefore all have died;
2Co 5:15 and he died for all, that those who live
might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was
raised.
2Co 5:16 From now on, therefore, we regard no one
according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the
flesh, we regard him thus no longer.
2Co 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a
new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
2Co 5:18 All this is from God, who through Christ
reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Co 5:19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the
world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to
us the message of reconciliation.
2Co 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God
making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled
to God.
2Co 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew
no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Just take the time to read this one more time, and then
take at least a pause and let it go into your heart and touch your soul, know
that:
“For
our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become
the righteousness of God.”
“the righteousness of God!”

The Apostles’ Creed reads:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven
and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the quick and
the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.2

Tradition says that the apostles themselves wrote this, we don’t
really know but no matter it is a wonderful creed and we should know it and say
it in our devotional time.

The
lord’s prayer!
Luk 11:2-4 And he
said to them,
"When you
pray, say:”
"Father,
hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come.
Give us each day
our daily bread,
and forgive us our
sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not
into temptation."
When we pray we seem to have a list for god to hear. we learn that
early in life; "god bless mommy, god bless daddy, god bless sissy, god bless
baba…” and so on and so on.
But when we pray we should say…
