Verse for January 31, 2015

1/31/15

Php 2:8  And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Php 2:9  Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,
Php 2:10  so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
Php 2:11  and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

It is God who brings salvation and it is to His glory that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess! We cannot be the judge of that in any way, for it is not from us but it is by Him and through Him and to His glory that anyone at all is saved!

Verse for January 29, 2015

1/29/15

Php 1:2  Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Php 1:3  I thank my God in all my remembrance of you,
Php 1:4  always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy,
Php 1:5  because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.
Php 1:6  And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

“I am sure of this, that HE who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
HE will bring it to completion! Not you or me!
“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Verse for January 28, 2015

1/28/15

1Co 1:4  I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus,
1Co 1:5  that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge—
1Co 1:6  even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you—
1Co 1:7  so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
1Co 1:8  who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 1:9  God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1Co 1:10  I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.

He will sustain you to the end; I hope that brings you peace.

Verse for January 26, 2015

1/26/15

Rom 1:7  To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

When we really trust and know that we are saved by God, from God, and that He is totally sovereign and all powerful and that He works all things for our good and that no one or nothing in all of the universe can turn back anything that God has ordained, the more peace you will have.

So have peace!

A verse for January 25, 2015

1/25/15

Rom 5:1  Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Peace with God is the only peace there is!

Luk 2:14  "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!"

If He is our peace then it is not the events of the day.

Joh 16:33  I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace.

If Jesus said things that will give us peace then have peace! No one can turn it back.

Isa 43:13  Also henceforth I am he; there is none who can deliver from my hand; I work, and who can turn it back?"

Isa 12:2  "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation."

Behold, God is your salvation; trust Him, and be not afraid.

Isa 54:10  For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

If your whole world seems falls apart today, God’s steadfast love and His peace shall not be removed from you.

Joh 6:37  All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.
Joh 6:38  For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.
Joh 6:39  And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.

It is very plan for us to see that it is the will of the Father that Jesus should not lose any that has been given to Him. And we read earlier this month in;
Isa 14:27  For the LORD of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who will turn it back?

Psa 51:7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Psa 51:8 Make me to hear joy and gladness, That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
Psa 51:9 Hide thy face from my sins, And blot out all mine iniquities.
Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.
Psa 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy spirit from me.
Psa 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with a willing spirit.

Please, please never hear me say that you can live any way that you want and not have conviction and shame for the sin in your life. Since you are a child of the king of ALL, you will have conviction of your sinfulness, and rightly so! I pray that your bones will feel as though they are broken with conviction when you sin and that you would pray a genuine prayer of repentance as David did. And He will create in you a clean heart; And renew a right spirit within you.

Job 23:13 But he is unchangeable, and who can turn him back? What he desires, that he does.
Job 23:14 For he will complete what he appoints for me, and many such things are in his mind.

As you go about your day today do the best you can, be kind and loving, make wise choices, try to be a good citizen. And when the day is done know that what ever God has appointed for you God will complete.

Isa 14:26 This is the purpose that is purposed concerning the whole earth, and this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations.
Isa 14:27 For the LORD of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who will turn it back?

The questions, “who will annul it?” “and who will turn it back?” is not answered here because they need no answer; It is very obvious that no-one can! If it has been purposed by God then it will be.

Luk 10:21 In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.

If we read the verse before, we see that what has been revealed is the fact that our names are written in heaven and it is the will of the Father!

2Ti 1:9 who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,
2Ti 1:10 and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,

Take notice that your salvation is not depended on you, no no! It is “because of HIS own purpose and grace!”

Tit 3:4 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,
Tit 3:5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,
Tit 3:6 whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
Tit 3:7 so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Man O man! There is so much gospel in the verses we have for today. Reread them and give time for them to sink in, contemplate what they mean for us. Then take a moment to give praise and adoration to our Savior.

Love you all; thanks for reading, please don't read them because I wrote a comment about the verses, but read them because the word will make you a stronger person.

As I sit here today (December 23, 2014) my world is well and I hope yours was also, but we don't know what today (January 13, 2015) holds. But no matter what today brings for you or for me the Lord is with us.

Joh 20:19 On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."

Jesus has a way of saying to us today, and everyday, and in every situation, “Peace be with you!”

Heb 12:2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith….

In a lot of town squares you will find the statute of the “Founder” of the town. That is the one who started that town. Jesus is the one who started our faith, not only that, He is also the one who is perfecting our faith.

Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
Rom 8:36 As it is written, "For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered."
Rom 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
Rom 8:39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When you read this and you think, “well he did not say anything about this or that” then you must have read right over this, nor anything else in all creation”

Psa 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
Psa 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.

Don't let life shake you this year. Always keep our LORD right beside you, and even in strife of the day to day your heart will be glad; Because of Him, not because of the circumstances around you.
